TMR Receives Donation of Electric Powered Golf Car

The Ragunan Zoo (TMR) once again received support from PT Paiton Energy (PE) in the form of providing two electric-powered buggy cars (golf cars) for use by visitors and caretakers.

It complements the six golf car units previously donated by Paiton Energy.
The donations handover to TMR is part of a series to welcome World Consumer Rights Day, which is celebrated every March 15.

According to him, the presence of environmentally friendly transportation at the TMR is a means of educating the public about the use of renewable energy sources to reduce carbon emissions.
"This is part of a shared commitment to preserving the environment and realizing blue skies. The electric golf car donation will help in maintaining the cleanliness and sustainability of TMR, as well as joint efforts to improve services from TMR to the community as well," he expressed, at TMR, South Jakarta, Wednesday (3/6).
He hoped that it could provide real benefits to the environment and visitors to TMR. He urged various parties to have a joint commitment to continue contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
"It could also be a positive example in climate change mitigation efforts," he expressed.
PT Paiton Energy Chief Financial Officer, Bayu Widyanto said since the beginning of its operations, the company has always practiced environmentally sound business with various initiative programs to preserve the environment, including efforts to reduce and absorb carbon emissions.
He explained the company donated an electric golf car to be used as a means of education and campaigning for the public about the use of New Renewable Energy and the use of electric vehicles as a mode of transportation.
"Hope, this collaboration will continue. It is deemed that TMR to be an ideal place because it is a place for conservation as well as education about the environment. And TMR's services to visitors can be improved with the contributions Paiton makes," he expressed.
TMR's Management Unit Head, Endah Rumiyati said this donation would help in improving the quality of service for TMR visitors. TMR was grateful for PE's contribution to preserving the environment.
"Hopefully, TMR visitors will become more aware of the importance of protecting the environment and using natural resources wisely," she stated.
